Hi, My name is Rohan Mark Gomes. I am a final year student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering pursuing B.Tech at Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata. It has been an honor to be a part of the IEM Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell, funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India since August 2017. Being a part of IEM-IEDC, I have also earned priceless opportunities to play an active part in numerous research projects involving the latest technology in the field of Deep Learning, Computer Vision and High Performance Computing. I am an aspiring High Performance Computing Engineer, Deep Learning enthusiast, C++ lover, Linux fanboy and also a Dota 2 addict with more than 1140 hours of gameplay.

Latest news and updates:

1. On the 19th of January, 2020, I won the Techno Wiz Award for my technical contributions to college and also for my personal achievements.

2. LinkedIn - Spandan and I are going to have our very own AUR package which is a very optimized OpenCV build with a lot of additional features not present in standard OpenCV installations like the PyPI OpenCV build. Read more about it here.

3. Got an opportunity to be a long term intern at Keysight Technologies (Ixia) the next 6 months starting from the 19th of August, 2019.

4. Gave a presentation on project Insight at TATA Steel on the 2nd of August 2019. We also ended in the top three projects and selected for funding by CII.
